Kaspar Trantenroth is a Berlin-based director with a background in film science and communication.  He began making films at an early age, evolving from travel videos into narrative-driven short films, commercial work and documentaries. Fascinated by the power of filmic montage and the nuanced language of visual storytelling, he is always looking for novel perspectives and consistently striving for excellence.
For more than 10 years he has been making films under the name Kaboon (Kaboon Productions). Spending 11 months traveling through South America, made possible by creating films for hotels and tour agencies along the way,  had a profound impact on his outlook. Moreover, Trantenroth has worked as an editor for the production company Sandgrain, produced short films for the social charity AMA in Peru, and collaborated with brands like Ampelmann. His intellectual curiosity extends beyond filmmaking: he delivered a TEDxYouth@Berlin talk titled “What Happened to Deep Thinking?”, exploring society's relationship with reflection and inquiry.
